Mark your calendar now for February 3rd and 4th for the 2012 Humble BBQ Cook-Off, followed by the Rodeo on February 10th and 11th at 7 p.m. You don’t want to miss either event – both are going to be bigger and better than ever – and all proceeds benefit the students of the Humble ISD Education Foundation. So come on out, bring the family and enjoy yourself for a good cause!
Fantastic food will be available at the 10th annual BBQ Cook-Off. It’s a full week of fun and entertainment that includes a livestock show, rodeo, country-western entertainment and a kids’ zone designed to fire up fun for our younger guests.
Proceeds from the events associated with the Humble Rodeo benefit the Humble ISD Education Foundation, which provides enhanced education opportunities for students of the Humble Independent School District. Every staff member of HISD has the opportunity to present a grant request for innovative classroom projects, teacher- and staff-development programs, and other programs that aim to enhance curriculum and technology within the district. The possibilities are limited only by the imagination of the grant writer.
