The Rodeo was originally created to support FFA programs, agriculture, and civic interests in Humble. Early events included youth competitions, auctions, cow-milking contests, and live music performances. In 1997, the Rodeo moved to the Humble Civic Center, and in 2002, the
BBQ Cook-Off was added. Today, the Rodeo and Cook-Off span multiple weekends, drawing competitors and visitors from across the region while continuing a mission of giving back.
