BBQ COOK-OFF COMMITTEE -Responsible for signing up cookers, collecting payment, liaison to KCBS, assembling cooker packets, marking spaces, head cook’s meeting, parking permits and parking spaces, BBQ awards and presentation of awards.
BANNER COMMITTEE - Responsible for ordering and receiving banners, creating and maintaining a list and map of banners to be properly placed each weekend. They are also responsible for the installation and the taking down of each banner and properly storing them for the following year.
COWBOY CAMP COMMITTEE - Responsible for planning, organizing and facilitating meals for our rodeo contestants.
ENTERTAINMENT COMMITTEE - Responsible for load in of sound and band equipment, preparing for sound check,
helping with Meet & Greet, meeting needs of
artist and any other needs that may arise on the night of the event.
GUEST SERVICES COMMITTEE - Responsible for staffing our Information Tent and assisting
our guests with locating cooker tents at BBQ, Rodeo events, lost and found,
phone re-charging station, medical needs and any questions our visitors have to
ensure an enjoyable family friendly event.
KIDS Q COMMITTEE - Responsible for the planning, organizing and facilitating our Kids Cook during the BBQ Cook-Off.
LOGISTICS COMMITTEE: Responsible to be on-site at designated event to help with last minute needs or issues that arrive and need committee help.This group will be open to working with all other committees as they need additional help or services.
MARKETING COMMITTEE: Responsible for the upkeep of the website, social media
marketing and various outside marketing opportunities as they arise.
MONEY TEAM COMMITTEE: Responsible for the counting and security of the ticket money at both event gates.Responsible to be certain the money is overseen until taken by the security team at the end of the night.
MUTTON BUSTING COMMITTEE: Responsible for working with the Rodeo Producer with the Mutton Busting event during both nights of the rodeo.Responsible for signing up contestants, working with contestants to prepare for event, being on rodeo floor during event to oversee, overseeing the safety of the contestants and the awards for the contestants.
PARKING & TRANSPORTATION COMMITTEE: Responsible for creating and maintaining parking maps for
both weekends, collecting parking fees and directing visitors to the
appropriate parking lot and responsible for the logistics of our rodeo shuttle
to and from the BBQ Cook-Off and Rodeo. Assist with rodeo contestant parking during slack and rodeo performances.
PETTING ZOO at RODEO: Responsible for securing a insured petting zoo company to set up and entertain children during the weekend of the Rodeo only.Responsible for working and maintaining the petting zoo area at all times when event goers are present and securing area at end of each night.
PIT CHALLENGE COMMITTEE - Responsible for coordinating with the FFA Advisors and the CATE Center setting up all the BBQ pits Cook-Off weekend. Other duties include setting up the chairs for the auction and removing them prior to the BBQ Awards.
RODEO BOX SEATS COMMITTEE - Responsible for securing box seats renewals, maintaining the box seat layout, delivery and set up of all chairs, hanging signs in each box seat, assist box seat holders with finding their seats, monitor the area each night and removal of chairs and signs after Saturday night of Rodeo.
SANITATION/RECYCLING COMMITTEE - :Responsible for cleaning up the event grounds and handling recycling at both weekends.
SECURITY COMMITTEE - The security team is looking for volunteers to help with
protecting the integrity of the various locked gates, etc. EX: Responsible for
manning all outer perimeter gates at the cook off that allow our volunteers,
visitors and cookers into and out of the BBQ Cook-Off.
SPONSORSHIP COMMITTEE - Responsible for obtaining and securing sponsorship's for our
event in coordination with the sponsorship opportunities available.
TICKETING COMMITTEE - Responsible for staffing entry gates for both weekends.
VENDOR COMMITTEE - This committee is responsible for obtaining various types of
vendors to create a great shopping and dining experience for our visitors.
Duties include creating layouts, vendor check-in, and monitoring the area.
VIP HOSPITALITY: Responsible for the hospitality of the VIP Sponsorship areas.Everything from working bars; facilitating food; setting up decorations; and concierge services of VIP's etc.
VOLUNTEER COORDINATOR - This committee is responsible for receiving and reviewing all volunteer applications and distributing them to the appropriate Vice President.Also responsible for collecting volunteer information, maintaining volunteer roster and helping with volunteer check-ins and placement where needed.
